Things to do:-

  • Cognac. A tour of one of the world famous cognac houses is a must. Most of the major producers have very informative, guided tours daily, throughout the season.
  • Golf. Enthusiasts of this sport will be delighted at the quality of the local golf courses. There are two excellent courses: Cognac and Saintes with reasonable rates.
  • Markets. There are lots of markets in the region, on set days throughout each month. On most Sundays during the season, you will find village brocantes,(bric a brac/ flea markets) to browse around.
  • Local festivals. During the season you will find many villages hosting “themed” festivals. For example… Beauvais holds its own wine festival each May, covering all the wine regions throughout France. What a weekend!!! Nearby in the village of Siecq, they have a medieval weekend, a very popular jazz festival and summer wine walks.
